In the current era, there are many scenarios and worse cases where large group of people are reported to meet death because of their unanswered and unnoticed hunger. Those selected people die in silence for want of their daily bread. We should be ashamed to be their co habitants on this earth. Everyday the number of hunger deaths is rapidly going up. It is high time that we all realize and do something to transform their destiny.If we look at the reasons for hunger death, the following could be considered as the major ones. The richer section of the world population continues to grow richer and richer and the poorer section becomes poorer and poorer. The political reasons and society based reasons add spice to the burning issue. With the launch of Multi National Companies in every nook and corner of the world, certain segment of the population grows rich thereby increasing the gap of the rich and the poor. The meek poor people strive hard to produce the required food supply. But there are not rich enough to buy the food produced by them. The high prices of the food items are not evidently affordable by the underprivileged people and ultimately they sacrifice their precious life. Most of the food grains are exported while the local people die out of hunger. Much of the grains have been diverted for the production of biofuels. The production of the edible food grains have been greatly replaced with the production of the Commercial foods like Sugar, tobacco etc which in turn aids the export. All these reasons cumulatively cause the death of the unfortunate poor people all around the world.Unless we fail to think of the hands that feed us everyday, the poor segment of people may go extinct. Let’s make small effort to wipe their tears. Let us hear their silent woes. It is humane to think of the fellow habitants. We are in a way responsible for their pathetic end. All of us should come out of our mundane life and think about these unlucky people. The Government should make food available at a cheaper rate to the poor people. Trust Organizations should be formed with the motto of feeding those starved souls. Most importantly, we should get out of out egocentric thoughts and render our timely help to them. The day when the death due to hunger is no more, then we shall be proud to live in this earth. Until then, Shame on all of us to be their cohabitants!!
New York Giants suspends Plaxio Burress for damaging the conduct of the team and he has been placed in Non-football injury list. Burress faced some serious action for his off-field conduct. New York Giants is very lucid that Plaxio Burress is out the postseason and he will not be available. Earlier Plaxio Burress have signed a 5-year contract for $35 million with New York Giants. The real problems started few weeks ago when he failed to participate in practice match and he was forced to sit out for one game. And additionally he was fined with two game fee which was later reduced by the management after coming to an agreement. Plaxio Burress was accused for shooting himself with a concealed weapon in night club. He had consumed heavy drinks before the incident occurs. Later his wife tiffany and a friend escorted him to the hospital at 2.00 A.M. This foolish incident made the New York Giants owners wild. He was not even able to show great numbers in terms of performance in this season which was extremely expected from him. He caught 36 passes from 454 yards and four touchdowns, but the sad thing was he didn’t register a single stats in last 10 matches. He got 10 touchdowns in last season which helped him to gain position in the team for this season which finally ended in an unexpected manner. If Plaxio Burress is found guilty, he will be sentenced to jail. Owners of New York Giants are in strong mindset to drop Burress and therefore will not be available for next season. Wide receiver Domenik Hixon likely to be the replacement for Plaxio Burress and he had pretty decent season so far. Thus the major distraction caused by Plaxio Burress for New York Giants comes to an end. Plaxico Burress started his career like a hero and unfortunately ended in zero.
Today science dominates the life in every sphere. We cannot dream of a life without science. It has worked wonders. It has shortened distance and lessened time. It has enabled d man to fly in air and sail on the sea. It has given eyes to the blind, ears to the deaf and limbs to the disabled. But like many other things, so powerful and beneficial an object, science has its dark side too.
Science has given various inventions in the service of man. There are railways, motorcars, scooters to travel safety, comfortably and rapidly to far off places. Aero planes have enabled man to fly in air and reach overseas land in no time. Ships sail on the sea and do a lot of mercantile trade. Internet carries messages to friends at a place hundreds of kilometers away.
But with all, science has also produced deadly weapons like atom, hydrogen and nitrogen bombs that can destroy the whole world in no time. In case of warfare, the aeroplanes bombard and hundreds of men and women are killed and made disabled.
Today man has lost the peace of mind and soul. He is always after the money. He has become proud and greedy. He has lost the sprit of goodwill and neighborhood. He is under constant fear of wars and destructions. Thus, science is a curse also to human happiness. Comforts and easiness cannot provide happiness.
