Filed under: Uncategorized, health — admin @ 12:39 pm

The ATX system board design is an industry standard for desktop computer motherboards. The ATX design is based on the older AT standard. The improvements made by the ATX relate primarily to design and functionality rather than speed and performance. One of the major differences between the older AT board and the newer ATX design is that the microprocessor an expansion slots have been rotated 90 degrees of the ATX, This design allows for fewer cables and more space for full length expansion cards.

Almost all the major PC manufacturers have incorporated the design including: IBM, Compaq and Apple based computers.
