A database mangement system(DBMS) is a software that helps you to organisze data fast and easily. Some of the tasks that it does on a database are sorting, searching and retrieving the rquired information. For example, a good data base management system will find you some specific information like names of all your friends whose birthday falls in the month of May; sort the dataalphebetically or numerically. It also allows you to add or remove more unwanted data.
